We are happy to announce that there will be some funds to support in part the travel of students to the Symposium. Those wishing to apply should send a request to the Symposium Co-chair Anthony Ephremides (etony@umd.edu) with the following information:

1. title of accepted paper with full list of authors
2. letter from the advisor describing the need for support and verifying current student status
3. verification that the student has registered

Although the majority of the available funds is restricted for students in Universities in the United States, we do have some funds that are not restricted. Thus all students are welcome to apply.

The criteria for the awards will be the quality of the paper as judged by the program committee. The size of the award is not determined yet.

Please note that the deadline for applying is May 15.

Update. Already practically every student who has registered to attend the symposium has applied for travel support. Although we would like to support every one we have very limited funds. After we evaluate the applications we will inform those who will receive a token support. Unfortunately we will not be able to send an individual notification to everyone who has applied. If you do not receive a positive notification by May 22, it means that we were unable to offer you support.
